2011 Kent Branches Hop- Kent regions annual rally

Hello everyone. It is getting close to that time of year again when well over 100 Morris Minors and other interesting classic cars gather at an interesting venue in the Kent countryside for our annual Kent branches charity rally.

This year, the Kent Branches Hop is being held on Sunday the 4th September at The Kent Museum of Rural Life at Cobtree near Maidstone, Kent. We are raising money for the Heart of Kent Hospice this year. All profits to go to the Hospice, last year we presented a cheque for £777 to Kent Air Ambulance!

Although the entry fee to the rally is £10 per car, that represents something of a bargain as special negotiation has meant that entry to the Hop rally includes entry to the Kent Rural Life museum for all occupants of the car! And as that would normally be £9.50 per person, you can get a car full of people in for almost 1/4 the cost!

Of course the rally includes the famous Kent "Hop" run which is an organised drive through 20 miles of beautiful kent countryside.

Entry forms and more information on the day can be found on our website:- http://www.kenthop.co.uk

Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

regards

John

I've just put it in my diary.
The new diff should be in by then, it will be a good test for it.

Well, as long as it gets you to the Hop. Was the last diff very noisy and that is why you changed it?

I hate to be critical, but the background to that site is minging, it makes me fell dyslexic just trying to read anything.
Also that I need new glasses, or eyes, how about increasing the font size a little?

You certainly can- but if you want to, please phone Graham Major a few days before hand (phone no on entry form).

He will give you a Hop number and pre book you in (necessary for our PL insurance requirements).

look forward to seeing you there AU- you may win a prize for the furthest traveled to the rally!

We are still taking entrants for the 2011 Hop- not too late to enter!

Nice venue, lots to see for all ages.
The weather went from questionable to raining which was a shame.

The new diff performed well, though some pinking was heard going up from the Medway bridge.
Retarded the ignition with the knurled knob on the dizzy which seems to have done the trick, it went up blueberry hills steepest section @ 60 mph without drama or any pinking.

The speedo is fine, probably a bit better than before, 1 mph out checked against the GPS.

As my old banger isn't very photogenic and failed to get pictured at the national I took a picture in the morning before the rain.[frame]Image[/frame]

Here is a well filled engine bay, full of V8![frame]Image[/frame]
