Traveller internal roof linning

Hi All
I’m removing the Traveller internal roof lining, it has been straightforward until I came to a thin piece of ply that is behind the lining and pushed down behind the piece of bodywork that the sun visors and mirror are attached to over the windscreen.
I have removed the sun visors and mirror thinking that the screws might be holding the wood in place, but it still only moves slightly and I’m starting to chew the wood up using pliers.
I know the steel wire disappears down there somewhere and might be hooked on something!.
Any help would be appreciated, please.
Thanks
Reg

This piece is exactly the same as a saloon. There are a couple of clips that you need to release and two wires to release as well. Try searching threads for headlining, there are a couple of very good articles.

Hi All
Headlining removed, could not get it to pop out with the knife, but drilled two holes that will be hidden under the sun visor mountings, as suggested on a previous thread.
Thanks
