As stated I have original copies of data and specifications as well as road-tests of Morris Minor's (and Series E Morris cars, which also had the Wolseley designed 918cc side valve) so equipped relating to Geoffrey Taylor's Alta OHV conversion from the early 1950's. If the club or anybody wishes to have photo-copies of these articles, please "PM" me, or Email me on heronfield@lineone.net
I have these papers since between 1968 and 1971 I owned a lovely 1951 MM Tourer with ths conversion, little realising when I sold it in 1971 just how sought after these cars would become. I know it's impossible to accept today in our - i-Phone 21st century "instant" world with all the spares sources we now enjoy immediate and ready access to keep classics on the road, that if those who can remember, recall that in 1971, - a then 20 year old Morris Minor splitscreen- tourer wasn't worth much and there was little or absolutely NO spares support for what are today considered classic cars.
It may be of course that the articles are readily available anyway (certainly Graham Holt might possess all or some of them) within the MMOC archives built up by our Club over the past 36 years since Tom Newton got the MMOC started, but justs thought I would ask the question.

Re: Alta OHV Conversion 918cc Sidevalve.
Darell,
I have tried unsuccessfully to reply privately to your welcome email to me as a PM. Each time when i try to send the email to you via the ste t says I am trying to send to too mnay recipients.... t has me befuddled being essentially a luddite.
It has twice failed. The gist of what I tried to say was that I will be sending later thsi week when i have time to copy everything, what documents I stll have on the Alta to Graham Long, whose address you have since it was in the most recent Minor Matters at the foot of the article showing your own Morris.
I do hope Graham will arroange for whatever he deems to be appropriate to be also copied and placed within the MMOC archives. I am not wanting any payment from Graham on this and trust this action will be in the best interests of yourself and any other parties having Alta conversions.
Best wishes.
