Can we ask how old you are as this will make a difference. But footman james is a safe bet.

I'm with Footman James because Peter Best and RH would not insure my van when I use my van for work.I had an A35 van for 15 years and RH insured that and I could use it for work but would'nt touch the Morris van.

as above rh classics, £55 a year fully comp, unlimited miles and agreed value off £10,000 on my minor van. And you can even drive other peoples cars third party with the owners concent (as long as theres already insurance on there car) !"

I dunno how you get RH for £55, Paul T - my quote is rather more than that, and I live in a rural/low risk area - and the car is garaged. But I do think RH give a great deal - just mine is a bit more than your £55!!! I'll be asking the question at the next renewal!

I found Peter James cheaper than the club with more benefits and unlimited milage, easier valuation and I was limited to 3000 on my old policy. As faversham says they answer the phone.

sorry guys, thats what it cost me £55 as additional vehicle against my four door saloon which has since been sold and took of the policy, so i now only have the van on the policy and did ring them today to ask how much the van would be to insure on its own and was £87.55... so thats how much it would cost to insure if i was to renew today... yes £55 was a bit tooo cheap on its own, but even so £55 as additional is still very good!!!

It was indeed! The good deal with RH is that it INCLUDES Roadside Assistance and Recovery if necessary....and they are willing to 'add' another car for a few months at a time.

RH i find very good and superb service and good value for money and they insured my van with a good agreed value no bother, footman james wouldnt insure it for the agreed value i wanted.

Iv'e used rh for years would't even try any where else,at present have three cars on one policy, minor, scimitar and a ford fiesta 1400 zetec, for £300.I was getting quotes for the fiesta for more then that,£360 being the best. I was suprised when they said they would insure the three including a non classic modern. Absolutly no competition RH every time for me

I insure my collection with Footman James. Always have done as they do a good multi vehicle policy rather than the MMOC reccomendation.
However I've just heard of a new Minor owner who had an FJ quote of £125 and RH quoted £68! On questioning this with FJ they reduced their quote to £88 but admitted they coudnt compete with the RH quote...
I'll probably be exploring other options when renewal time comes, though I have been very happy with 6 cars for about £380.
