A friend of mine saw this lonesome Moggie at a 2cv meeting in central France.
There were some 6000 2cvs (or dirivatives) from all over Europe.
See my local clubs report on

Same photographer who took the pics of MOT 2011 visiting Lohéac.[frame]

Moggies are so much prettier and cuter.
Though the idea of having a seperate chassis does have immense appeal.

If I could find one in comparable condition for the same price I paid for my 3 door...
Must be great to work on one - just lift the various body bits off for easy access to stuff.

And I've got a list of jobs to do on the 'daily' too... if only I didnt have to work.

LOL.

Not on a 2CV! I was a mechanic in a Citroen garage.
To do the points you have to take off the grille, loosen the fan belt, remove the fan, remove 3 screws from the points box, and do the points through the grille hole.
Don't get me started on the tappets or working on the hand brake pads, being a contortionist helps though.
You can run them flat out all day every day, but flat out=62mph.
Their overseas trips are much more adventurous than ours, or were, when I looked into it they were going to Moscow!

Yes they did, jolly comfy too.
Very small tool kit needed for most things as well, 8mm, 13mm spanners a screwdriver or two and a pair of pliers will take most of it apart.
I doubt that bodywork as thin as a 2CVs survives crash tests very well though.
