Where do I find some?

Doesnt have to be 'specialist' stuff, just a nice enamel with decent flow out properties that dries slow enough to be workable.
In the past I've had decent results with Hammerite 'Garage Door Paint ' (but NOT hammerite normal - dreadful stuff), Japlac and Repaint.

I cant find any of these locally in OE white - only bright 'pure brilliant style' white.

A 50/50 mix of Dulux white and magnolia gloss is very very close.......

Smoothrite do a magnolia paint and its a very close match for the wheels and grill. The big hardware shops dont usually keep it but my local car accessory shop can usually get it for me within a couple of days.

Just had a look on the hammerite site and its now listed as cream

dulux 'classic cream' is pretty good - i've just used it on my wheels

Bit wary of domestic gloss as its not very weather resisitant. Give it a year and it'll have yellowed, though I guess based on this logic - I could paint the car white! I've not had any experience thinning or mucking about with it much either.

I'll have a look for that smoothrite stuff. Local hardware stores seem to just sell it in project pots and tins.
Both at silly rip off prices.

I'll try these guys when the time comes for paint (some time yet!). Looks like they know their stuff and their 'off white' is probably close enough.

Is this for the wheels/grille or do you mean the whole car?

Whole car.
Albeit in bits - obv panels, doors, etc.. taken off and painted flat on the bench. I'm not a complete pikey. LOL

Grill and wheels are prob going silver.

Wasn't inferring you were! Just that some paints work better on smaller areas, but don't look so hot on larger ones.

Someone in the past (on this site) painted their car using a roller and a special paint that didn't dry too quickly - Rustoleum. It can be applied using a roller. There's even a YouTube video on how to use it as well. The finish was impressive.

lol. You're in the minority then - or you simply dont know me well enough yet.

I've read a lot about the Rustoleum stuff in the past, theres a fella who painted a dodge charger (iirc?) in it. Loads of stuff online about it, some chaps on Minifinity used it to great affect too.
I've now found somewhere that sells Tekaloid paint online, this is supposed to be the best - and its not too expensive.

Have you tried Marcell Guest they are a big supplier of paint
