Waxoyl is a thin almost transparent 'wax' coating - is this what you have - or is it splattered with thick black underseal? This comes off with heat (paint strip heat gun - or blowtorch if v brave) and scraper. beware - it drops in your hair and into your ears/eyes/nose - and down your neck. True waxoyl will likely wipe off with solvent soaked rag etc.....

hi, maybe its underseal, the floors have been coated inside and out, i'll have a go with the heat gun and scrapper, thanks for the reply.

Am removing mine as we speak, hot air gun with a scraper and old screw driver, followed by twisted wire brush on angle grinder followed by flap wheels to make it all nice and shiny. It takes hours but at least you can see where you've been. Watch for seam sealer and twisted wire brushes, dust gets absolutely everywhere. Wear a mask !

Good luck and keep telling yourself, it's all worth it !
