I'm Back!

Lol..nobody will remember/know me so I appreciate the title's a little confusing.
I was a member years ago with a rotten black 4 door... oh how they break your heart. :(

Now the proud owner of a 'nice' 3 door (always wanted one). Shes a bit of a basket case but, as you'll all know, nothing compares to Minor ownership - especially after you've been slumming-it with a modern for a few years.
Still got the modern (Fine example of an 87 Escort), I was halfway through putting a Zetec in it when I spotted the Minor, proving you can still 'meddle' with a new'un but they're not as rewarding.

I'll get some pics of the lowering job thats been done on the moggy... they deserve to be shown as a warning/source of comedy to others. (TWO london-brick sized blocks on each spring and the front sat 10mm from the bump-stop backplates :o :o )

Its good to be back. :D
Here's hoping I dont need new kingpins, they were like hens teeth iirc..

Cheers everyone. I guess a warm welcome was always guaranteed here.

Is the Minor getting the zetec.. hmm.. thats a question I've asked myself.
When I had the 4 door I measured it all out and was hoping to zetec it by moving the engine right forward and using a sidemount (like a mini) radiator, with a couple of kenlow fans to keep it cool.
After seeing the amount of work JLH put into the conversion and the costs of even simple bits like a water rail to relocate the stat i'm a little disuaded. :-?

Also, the three door has the sweetest lil 1098 in it. Not had it running yet as its partially stripped in boxes yet to be sorted (like most of the car!) but shes painted up all nice and has the cute little 'MORRIS' plaque on the rocker top. :D
Shame to ditch it. :(

Gunna push her over at the weekend and start on the underside. No mean task when you're outside with no access to electricity.
