Floor and Crossmember

I am having to replace the whole floor and cross member of my restoration. I will also have to do the boxing panel, outer under sill, floor edge panel and floor pans. Check the photos in P.O.S. in the restoration forum

Can anyone describe the best way to tackle this and in which order?
I will buy a manual eventually............

Nice looking car!
I recommend doing the crossmember first. You can cut a strip out of the floor panels either side of the crossmember, leaving the transmission tunnel part of the floor in place. Jack up and support the car under the front chassis legs and remove the torsion bars. Its then a case of carefully cutting out the old crossmember and then welding the new one in at the sides and in the centre. As for the floors,start by welding in some bracing to keep the car straight then do a corner at a time, there are four repair panels available. The crossmember can be welded to the floors as you proceed with each section. Once thats done you can work outwards with the sill sections and boxing panel etc.
