Distributor Caps

I was tinkering with a side valve engine and when I started it I noticed that the dizzy cap was wobbling about in a circular motion in time with the rotor arm. Inspection of the distrubutor revealed that the spring clips which hold the cap on were slack as they were when I tried another cap. I tried the dizzy cap off my Series MM and it was a perfect fit.
A search of the garage produced two more caps and they were also a good fit.
The faulty caps had the Lucas logo and markings and appeared to be genuine. They were of the side entry type, the HT leads being held in by scews. The distinguishing feature was that the carbon brush and spring in the top of the cap had to be removed to gain access to the coil HT lead clamping screw.
Are these Lucas caps or a cheap imitation?
