Hi,
Could someeone please give me a guide to the correct colours for a 1963 build 4 door deluxe saloon.
Obviously I know some (or think I do)
I`m unclear whether some parts such as the air filter clanes housing and rad should be matt black or gloss, for example.
Thanks.

This thread plus photo in the concours forum should help: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=29028
The air filter housing and rad should be gloss.

Thanks for the quick response. I looked at various threads but didn`t see that one,
I presume the black when matt is not specified is gloss looking at the under bonnet photo posted on that thread.
Another thread led me to believe that the colours varied slightly dependent on year of manufactue.

Ideally you need a 'semi-gloss' black. Try Eastwood Underhood Black, you can get it from Frosts.

I know it's not cheap, but it's really good stuff.

As far as I'm aware the engine bay colours did not change on the later cars (1962 - 1971) so yours will probably be the same as the engine bay pictured in the earlier thread. However if you are planning on returning your car to completely original spec the 'Original Morris Minor' book is full of useful information and lots of photos: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/index.php?key=Regalia&id=80
