Indicator stalk click

Post by ojrdude »

I took my indicator switch on my 1957 minor 1000 apart whilst trying to work out why my trafficators don't function and when I put it back together it no longer clicked into place when I moved it up and down. It just glides up and down so I can still indicate but seems weird.

I've looked at diagrams of what the switch should look like and I can't work out what's missing or broken. Can anybody help?

How did you take it apart?
It's not something that can be dismantled much.
Taking lots of pictures before you start can be a very good plan, if it all goes back together and works, just delete them.

I'm sure I have one in stock if you need some pictures now.

Might have to change my signature though!

Thanks for the advice. I reckon if I take it apart again, but documenting it as you say, I'll probably see what's missing.
