Pick Up Cab Back
I want to identify the purpose of a couple of brackets welded to the inside of our pickup's cab back - see pics. Don't know if these are standard or have been added. Anyway any info/ideas appreciated.[frame]

Are they high up enough to provide alternate positions for the spare wheel?

Re: Pick Up Cab Back
As Marky B suggests yes, they are for the spare wheel LHD/RHD as appropiate.
If the original specification of the pickup was requested that the optional passender seat was not fitted, the spare wheel would have gone in the cab on those brackets, and not on the back of cab back where we are all used to seeing the spare wheel.
No Spare wheel on the cab back also gives a longer load area in the cargo area.
Ive never seen a pickup or a picture of a pickup with the wheel in cab though, but thats what they are for. Has anyone got one?

Re: Pick Up Cab Back
Thanks guys. I've never seen a spare fitted in the cab either. Nice to know they're original spec and I'm glad I asked before cutting them off!
