Hi all,

Not sure how this compares but I just found a whole Bosal replacement exhaust for a minor for £20 inc vat..... This seems like a good price to me from http://www.bodyshopwarehouse.co.uk/bosal/default.htm
It does show what markup the guys like Formula1 are charging..... they quoted me almost £80 to fit the same damned system !!!!

:D

Even the Minor specialist only quote £25 + vat & fittings or £50 + for the stainless system so £80 I would have expected a fitted stainless for that.

A one piece system could use that £80 in labour charges alone. They are a nightmare to fit!

True, but some Minor centres will use a trusted supplier and therefore you are unlikely to have a holed exhaust at 18 months...
Other people have been known to make them out of not much more than tin foil (I used one on a Fiesta for £18 and 2 years later I had to patch a big hole hole - 3 years later it fell to bits)

Mine is slightly unusual as it came with the car but looks to be one of the aluminiumised types as it has a pale gray finish and has not altered at all (no rust marks) in the 18 months I have had the car but I cant remember seeing this type on a moggie before but as the car lived in Dorset for the previous 18 years it must have been a local one and it is single piece.
