Ive got a 6cwt van with 4.5j wheels 165 tyres. Just trimmed suspension and now tyres are rubbing slightly against trunnions on inside.

Anyone know where i can get some thin spacers to bring the wheels out a little?

most morris suppliers should, as some alloy wheels require spacing too.

i can't see why re-trimming the suspension would make the tyre catch on the trunnion all of a sudden.

When i restored the van i never put the suspension high enough it was so low it was touching the stops maybe the geometry is slightly different if its at ock bottom? Who knows.........

Yes - it will be if you have lifted it. Many accessory places will sell them - but you may need longer studs too. Make sure the nuts are FULLY engaged on the studs.

how does changing the ride height affect the distance between the wheel mounting face and the top trunnion? that doesn't make sense!

unless you've changed the swivel pin for a slightly differently machined one, or changed the brake drums for some slightly thinner faced ones, or changed the front hubs for some slightly differently machined ones.

Hmmm - I see what you mean Chris - dangers of posting through a haze of red wine.... You are dead right - it can't make any difference.
