Hi all.
How much should I expect to pay to have both door bottom panels cut out renewed and painted.

Thanks,

Parts = £100 and labour might be anywhere from 4 hours to 8 hours depending on the finish required. I'd GUESS you'd expect to pay £300 minimum for a half-decent job?

JLH or Fairmile restorations might be worth a try for a price. A replacement second-hand set of doors might be cheaper.

Having done a number of Minor door bottoms, the amount of labour is the expensive bit as often when the lower outer skin is cut off then it become apparent that the inner structure of the lower door is rusty and holed as well. These may need to be fabricated and welded in before the outer lower skin can be welded on.

Plus to do a really nice job the joddled spot welded seam should be leaded first to minimise the chance of paint prep filler cracking when the door is opened and closed etc.

Plus, you would want the garage to waxoyl inside the door the preserve the repair!
