three sizes of oil filter o ring which one?

Post by xpress »

I have three different (thickness) of oil filter o ring for the filter bowl, the same size, which one does the morris use? there is also a small rubber o ring.

ps I topped up the gearbox filler, oil was a good colour, you could still see the wood on the dipstick, you could see the oil from the filler, but it took a litre to go to the top of the filler plug!

Not sure the thickness matters really, go for the middle one. The 'o' ring registers in the thick washer that slides down to the head of the long bolt.

Plenty of people seem to get away with not changing the seal every time.
