For a July 1950 MM what colour should the stripe be along the body and the wheels be? I have noticed that on some cars its white and others an offset cream!

Thanks
Andrew

According to the potteries website, on later cars the coachline was a similar colour the interior trim. I'm guessing the coachline colour may have been an existing Morris colour used on other minors.

If you have beige seats therefore.... perhaps the coachline was beige.

Don't know if this photo I took at Stanford Hall of NWL 576 helps:

It's not too clear from the photo but I ‘zoomed in’ and the coachline looks to be a very slightly 'off white' rather than a pure white. There’s a close up photo of the pinstripe in Ray Newell's Original Morris Minor (pg21) and it also seems to be an ‘off white’ colour- not cream and not white - somewhere in the middle (which probably doesn't help much! :-? ). I suppose you could describe it as an offset cream or an offset white :D

I like my red cochline on the black bodywork, but I don't know it is an original combination....
