This may be a stupid question for those that know but, My new van. I've been told its a standard 1098cc but it went rearly well driving it back from Cornwall. Rearly well. Im having trouble making out the number. The thing is I had a 1098 engin in a saloon before and It didn't go like this. Is there anything that would identify weather its 1098 or 1275 just by looking.
Thanks

On the side of the block it will have a little plate marked '1100'. And the engine number begins with '10'.......

Thanks for both replys. I had a look at my marina manual today. Am I right in saying that 1275 engine wont have the two push rod cover plates on the left side?

Pah! That's no fun :(

I'll be the first to suggest the the reason it seems to go better is that the van comes with a different diff so the acceleration is better.
