My son has just recently passed hes test hes grandad used to own a moris minor and since he passed away and we sold it he allways said he wanted to own one, we have been very suprised of how cheap the insurance is for a 17 year old teenager for a moris minor we have a qoute for £1000. a saving of nearly 2 grand if it was a new car like a corsa, Just on this site to look for the perfect morris any tips on buying?

Welcome to the forum - look at MANY cars before deciding on one, and remember - RUST is the big enemy. Mechanical parts are all cheap and v easily repaired - but body/chassis rust underneath is the killer. Be sure to get a NEW MOT on any car you buy... Even if it has 6 months MOT - insist they take it for a new MOT as part of the deal. If you find a car you fancy - tell us about it - post up pictures - and perhaps someone from here will go along with you and advise you.

My first car is a Morris Minor, brilliant fun little cars to drive and simple to work on. My insurance is with footman james cost me just under £600 (and i'm on a provisional). there are some good cars that are pretty cheap so shop around.
if in doubt give it a clout!
