Hi
Does anybody know whether those gear stick and handbrake lock things works on a Minor? Steering locks seem a little... wobbly on mine?
Thanks!!

Re: Gear stick lock??
Waste of time/money..... Just pull the gear change knob off - and it slips off the top. Or - snip the handbrake cables..... Fit ba secret switch for the fuel pump - and USE it, ALL the time........

I have one and even with the gearknob unscrewed it wont pull off the top, so personally i rate it. Also its a visible deterrent which is the main thing, same with steering lock.

Re: Gear stick lock??
The handbrake lock does not work on my 1275 gearbox because the throw into 1st gear is shorter than on the 1098 box
If the collar is fitted to the gear lever and the arm clamped around it then you should not be able to move the lock

It'll certainly make them stop and think before trying to break in. If there's one device there may be others?

Re: Gear stick lock??
i use the gear stick lock as a visual deterrent. i also have a secret switch (will be putting in a key switch in there too, soon).
also consider a red key or similar to isolate the battery.
an audible 'shock' alarm will also be a deterrent (going to fit one asap)
