Traveller Striker plates.

Hi all,
Just got my Traveller home :) but the drivers door striker plate is busted :(
Even when the new one gets here, I'm not sure it will stick out enough to effectively lock the door, as the door-B-pillar gap seems a little large. Should I:
a) shim the striker plate off the B-pillar (easy and lazy),
b) Shim the hinges off the A-pillar (hard, I imagine the door weigh a tonne),
c) fit a 4-door striker plate, which appears to have a much deeper 'kick' to the locking slope.

Until I know, leaving the vehicle empty and pulling the loom out of the engine is all I can do!

you can get packing shims for the door hinges (esm)
also, you do know that the striker plate has a fair bit of adjustment in it?
