Marina Bearings

Having done a bit more research it would appear that the minor bearings may not be matched to the marina hubs. The front (smaller) minor bearing fits in the marina hub, however the rear (larger) minor bearing seem to have the correct outside diameter but wont sit fully inside the hub. The hub appears to have a slight taper around where the rear bearing sits, but without comparing to a minor hub i can not be certain. Is this usual for a marina hub, and what bearings are required?

They will be going on standard minor kingpins.
Any pictures related would also be appreciated.

The kit contains all parts required. There is a spacer that fits onto the standard Minor kingpin and onto which the inner bearing then mounts (often easier to fit the spacer to the bearing first, and then fit to the stub axle). The outer bearing fits directly into the Marina hub.

By 'the kit' i presume you mean the one i linked to? rather than the brand new £300 complete one. So the *Incl Seal & Adapter* refers to the spacer?

Do you know if the outer of that bearing is indeed a taper?
Thanks.

Bearings are never 'tapered' - at least not in this sort of size. Larger industrial bearings are sometimes mounted on a tapered sleeve - but not in automotive practice.

Confirm that the kit is the one you linked to. You can see the adapter already mounted in the bearing (top left). The Marina bearings are taper roller. The mounting sleeve is still parallel, but the rollers are set at a slight angle. If using these, then it's important to follow the fitting instructions for the Marina, NOT the Minor! The Minor bearings have a spacer and are done up really tight, the Marina ones have no spacer and need a bit of slack.
