Beam Deflectors

I am heading off to France for Minors on Tour on Friday (

), however I need to get hold of some beam deflectors. I have seen other Minors with amber coloured clip-on ones; which I believe were (are?) made by Lucas. I've done a bit of internet searching and it would appear that they are not made anymore (please correct me if I'm wrong).
If I can't get hold of the clip-on type, will the sticker-type suffice?
Cheers,
Ryan

OK - thanks - I'll probably do that then and get the stickers. Yes, we are getting the overnight crossing on Friday (arriving in St. Malo on Saturday morning).
Out of interest - did it used to be mandatory to have yellow headlights in France for foreign cars then?

It was certainly mandatory for French registered cars but we changed to white during the 1990's - White was tolerated for other european countries and by politeness because of highbeam going to the opposite way Brits put on yellow deflectors. I did this on my 1958 Traveller when I came over on holiday in 1971. 99.99/100 French cars have white headlights but you can still get yellow bulbs in some autoshops and you might see a classic car with them. Don't forget your warning triangle and yellow hiviz vests etc.[frame]

You can get the stick on deflectors from Halfords. Easy stick on and easy take off at the end of your holiday. I've used these twice in France for the MOT with no problems.

Get the Halfords ones,The type supplied at the ferry termonal are twice the price and you can't reuse them,at least not from Portsmouth ferry shop! I really feel black tape will suffice. You can copy the pattern from another vehicle.
