It's this panel Roy:[frame]Image[/frame]

ESM sell 2 types - the 'expensive' one is sold out. Looks like Bull Motif have some in stock though.

Ahh - lower rear panel then. The problem is likely to be that the boot floor to which that panel attaches is likely to be well gone too...... be sure to remove the fuel tank before doing any welding in that area.

It will be a pain to fit that panel.
Mine was too short, so needed stretching out to fit.
That was the cheep one from ESM.
Go for the high quality one if you want my advice.

Also, i probably wouldn't Boyer removing the fuel tank. Fill it to the top and use a plumbers shield.
Remember, a full tank will burn, an empty one will explode!!!

I looked at fitting one to my car, but with the difficulty involved I decided it would be easier to patch, how bad is yours ?

mine is totally gone, just the rusty stumps at each end. don't know why, the edge of the boot floor is the same for about 2 inches in but the rest of the boot floor and most of underneath the car is spotless??? I'll order one from bullmotif, does anyone know what standard theirs are like? thanks

Good. We've just used this panel from BM to replace the rotted one on my husband's 2 dr. Cutted out rot and welded in new one. No problems with part.

I'm going to need to do this job soon, so it's good to hear the BM panel is a good fit!

Jmaster78 - check your boot seal. If water is getting in, then it can collect at the rear edge of the boot, causing it to rust out.

Just bought 4 panels from ESM and none of them were worth bothering with. Who is the manufacturer of the 'poor' and the 'good' panels these days?
