I am looking for a Morris Minor restorer in the Norwich, Norfolk area. We recently purchased a tourer which has been converted from a saloon on the understanding that it needs some welding underneath.

Not knowing Minor replacement panels I am looking to get a quote for patching or replacing panels but need someone with experience of Minor's to give me a price.

PS Hi all, having driven the car 200 miles on the first day of ownership it has got me hooked and I even gave it a name.....what is it about Minor's?

Thanks in advance
Shaun

Hello Shaun, welcome to the Forum. The closest that I know of to Norwich is Ian Allen of Minor Services, Witchford, near Ely, or Pop's Place Unit 16, Norwich Road Industrial Estate, Lowestoft. I've had good dealings with both. Hope it all goes well for you. Assuming that you're a member of the MMOC, you'll find no end of specialists advertising in "Minor Matters", the Club's (very good) magazine.

Or you could contact www.iceniminors.co.uk (Norfolk & Suffolk Branch) Tricia Loades (based in Norwich) for any local restorers

May I highly recommend Jim Smith trading as "Carsmiths"Unit 6,Old Station Yard,Chapel Street,Cawston,Norfolk.NR10 4BG.Tel07766192326. His business is only about 6 miles out of Norwich off the Holt road and well worth a visit but a good idea to ring first as he is a "one man band" and could be off the premises.
Jim has been looking after my Minor for more than 4yrs.now and really knows his stuff!

Hope this helps, David.
