free tea or coffee in St Albans (a bribe....)

I picked the car up from a garage last week after it sailed through the MOT
.
1/2 mile later – it started choking up – and broke down (first time in 15 years)
It would tick over OK, but not pull away.
I topped up the fuel (assuming they had run it right down, but it), but no change.
I eventually pulled the choke fully out, and got home the last ½ mile.
After speaking to the garage, they said they had not touched anything, but I have to check the points…
The points were now clean (they were badly pitted, and needed changing), so I assume they cleaned them, and then only drove it outside the garage. I have adjusted the points, and it is better, but under load, it still starts to choke up.
Does anyone near St Albans (with a timing gun) fancy free tea, coffee, biscuits, alcohol free lager etc! while they help me check the car!!!
Just about any dry evening will do.
