Front wings

Hi all, hope you can help. Do the front wings have the beading/gasket, the same as the rear wings? The front wings look strange, all gaps along the top edge.

Series MMs have the beading, 1098s do not, same as with the seam across the wing to the headlight, don't know when they changed. If you are not bothered about originality then fit the beading and fill in the seam, but make sure that you leave the drainage channel clear.
According to "Original Morris Minor" the beading was discontinued at chassis no. 305719 Traveller and 307869 cars.
