hi all my 1098cc engine is running rough but it has a K&N airfilter,AAA needle, waxstat jet i have been told i need a standard jet as alot of the waxstat jets cause a lot of problems.
1.Is the AAA needle ok for it
2.What sort of jet do i need to purchase
cheers josh

I've not had any problems with the waxstat - but some folks dislike them. There is a conversion going the rounds (via a Triumph Forum I believe) that replaces the moving parts with 2 X 1p coins...... I doubt the jet will be the problem - and the AAA should be near enough. Try without the filter..... But as ever - you need to start by checking the valve gaps, then the compressions - and of course give the Ignition system a good check over - and is the vacuum advance working?

well it was running ok till i started sitting in traffic and then wouldnt go and cut out but then you have to try to keep the revs up to pull off but it wont hold its revs for some reason it seems to me like its flooding something and a man at a show said that the waxstat jets are useless in traffic.
