Does anyone know the dimensions of a 1098 engine? Am interested in the length to see how modern engines compare.
Zetec -50cm long -60cm tall K series -48cm long -60cm tall

what measurement do you want? head length? flywheel clutch face to starter dog? i've got a complete engine sat in the garage i'll happily pop the tape measure on it!

front of pulley to back edge of backplate (where box bolts on) = 435mm

the water pump sits further forward than the front pulley (about 30mm more).

if it is of any use, the width (i measured between the 'ears' that the engine mounts bolt to) is 350mm.
