I keep on leaving my lights on
has anyone fitted a waring buzzer? I was thinking of getting a cheap buzzer, and then wiring it up so it bleeps when the door is open and the lights are on?
is this easly done?

I think that we thrive on individuality, and welcome the fact that we're all different. Personally I HATE the modern car which busses at me for everything from lights on to not fastening a seatbelt - even on a private road at 10mph and it's a box of shopping sitting on the seat. Thank god for the Minor with it's more sensible arrangements. It's like motorcycles with digital displays to tell you which gear you're in. If you don't know, then you shouldn't be riding the thing!!!
Similalrly, with modern wipers that turn themselves on when it rains. Again, if you can't see that it's raining then you shouldn't be driving.
Good cockpit drill means checking that you've turned everything off as you leave the car. Also check closed windows, locked doors, handbrake, etc. Of course I've never left anything switched on...... but thank goodness for the old starting handle.

Also it helps if you are paranoid and keep looking back at your car as you walk away. That way you spot lights left on!
