Project - It'll be on the road in 2 Weeks!

Set myself a rather ambitious task with this one.
Picked up the other day after a VERY last minute bid on eBay. Spotted it with 10mins to go and convinced myself I needed it within the last two minutes as it was up the road from me and it was UBER CHEAP!
1961 two door saloon. Off the road for three years, faided paint, crusty looking outer and scabby round the edges.
BUT.
Its mint underside, floor pan, spring handers, boot floor, chassis legs, all mint! Shouldnt have to get the welder out at all on this one!
So, aim is to have it on the road within two weeks!
Going to be kept standard, just as a break from the norm!
Ideas to use it as a daily asap for the summer as a bit of fun.
Toying with the idea of some snazzy matt paint job as the paint theres not wirth messing with, its never going to be anything good! Just to tidy things up!

Nice wee car, leave the paint as it is and fire on a set of alloys.

Absolute bargain, knocked a lot off that price too as he had a few problems with the auction.
Plans are (Time scale challenge starts from when I begin BTW!)
-Paint, Toyed with keeping it red, but its a mess and wont polish up without a LOT of hard work and even then theres ust, oxydisation, patches thru to the original paint etc etc so, we'll be going a nice shade of Light NATO Matt green. Tidy it all up.
-Brakes, re-build, all works and intact but can improve! Have later larger drums to fit possibly.
-Interior, again Paint to match, re-fit original seats.
-Wheels, re-paint them and maybe some tyres as they've a few hairline cracks but loadsa tread.
-Wiring, few things dont work like wipers and a couple of lights.
-Possibly a tiny piece of welding to a cross member jacking point if it fails the MOT on it. Nothing bad at all so thinking it'll be okay!
Any other ideas???
The shell is pretty much MINT condition, its all clean, had recent floorpans, boot floor and a chassis leg with a few patches thrown in there. The two body panels either side of the doors are patched with a lip so them along with the boot lid and door bottoms are the only bits of bodywork which look rough and need work.
If I had the time and inclination I'd sort these bits out and re-spray making it look properlyt smart, but need to get inn the road asap for a daily so will get away with what I can.
NEVER bought a minor this sound and clean underneath before for the price!

Bargain indeed!
Had a good polish last night, sore arms this morning and the paint in places have actually buffed up okay suprisingly.
Currently re-thinking the Matt paint as its too sound and straight a car to mess up.
Work will commence propely next weekend! Clock starts then!

Problem with matt finish cars is that too enthusiastic polishing brings up the shine
The few production cars out at the moment with matt finish have no warrantee on the paint finish

Just discussing this with my local detailer today.
He has a matt car to do and had to buy some special wax (over £100 for a small pot) so it doesn't get shiney!

Whoops strayed off topic again (second time today!)
Looking forward to seeing some polished pics. Sounds like you need a machine polisher though...

Just bought an orbital buffer so waiting for that to come thru, so we'll see how well she buffs up in a week or so when I start!
Billy bargain, I am now of the thinking its too good a car to matt paint as a quick blow over the bad bits after its buffed will get her looking mint again.
Still cant beleive Ive managed to buy another Minor - a RUST FREE STRAIGHT CAR TOO!
