Fibre Glass Boot Lid

Just wondering if these are worth the purchase ? My steel boot lid is rusty and I'm not sure if I have the time or money to replace it with a new repair. I want to get my car back on the road for the summer as a daily driver and am not really that bothered about concours or originality with it as its to be a practical runner.

Any comments ??? Recommend or not ?

I've got one and it has been okay for 10 years+. I think you can get either a bare outer skin or one with an inner that replicates the structural supports, I got the latter. It's worth padding with something on the inside if you carry heavy, sharp things that could impact the fibrerglass. I use camping mat foam or a piece of hardboard cut to size and covered in leathercloth. Looks the part.

No more worries about the bottom rusting out, fit & forget.

Can I ask where you got yours from, with the structure?

Thanks
