Which specialists have you already looked at and how much have they quoted (assuming you are in the UK)? For example ESM quote £55 + Vat for a pattern wing but Bull Motif will undercut that considerably if you quote the special offer in Minor Monthly.
A post in the 'Wanted' section might find someone willing to sell s/hand or unused wings.
beware - pattern wings often fit very badly. If you're paying someone to fit them (or you value your time) then they are often a false economy.

Also, preferential rates may be available from some suppliers if you are a member of the MMOC, which could be worth a try. I know BM do this... didn't know they had a similar advert in Minor Monthly??

Doh!

Sorry Gareth - I meant Minor Matters (the club magazine), not Minor Monthly. Only MMOC members get to see these special offers. In this case the saving would pay for a year's subscription....

Hi folks,
Pattern wings. Nasty , nasty, evil, nasty things. I put 2 on the front of my moggy, they needed hours of cutting and welding and hammering. They didn't come out too well, fine for me as they're on a daily driver. A professional body man would be needed to do justice. Maybe these are just my experiences???
All the best, and wishing you lots of patience.

Rich, the general concensus here is that pattern wings are a false economy if you are paying someone to fit them, or if you value your own time.
I wonder how martylemoo got on with his wings?
