Morris Minor Owners Club

hello, I have morris minor 1000 1968 for some reason it has smooth case gearbox.

I want to replace it for ribbed case gearbox, easy swap, do i have to do modification, can any one help plesae.

If it has the 1098 engine and backplate - it should fit straight in.
