Ive got a mate who is attempting to restore a traveller and has got too the rotten problem of wood... He wants to find the dimensions and get a carpenter to do it instead of buying pre made wood... What do we think about this and is there any drawings ? dimensions?

Thanks Chaps + Chaps'ess

I would say it will probably end up costing him a lot more to have 1 individual set made up then to buy a set from Woodies or Traveller Timbers and chances are it wont have the same quality finish that you would get with a ready made set.

Thats only my opinion, the carpenter could be brill!

Unless the carpenter is willing to work for almost nothing it will be a lot more expensive than buying ready made bits.
Unless he has no wood at all I'm surprised that a carpenter can't do something with what he has.
