tbf what can you do..... labour promised that increase, then borrowed againt it to spend more money they didnt have now, the only reason he can consider scrapping it is becuase the job seekers book is smaller than first feared.
rule 101 is dont spend more than you can afford. if people had listened to that we wouldnt be in this mess now, pure and simple..... then it wouldnt be the nasty tories having to cut everything... it'd just be sensible prudence.

You are right. I think that had Labour got in they would have had to make much the same cuts. - The cupboard is bare!

and dont forget the general elctions were forever ago now and we still havent heard a single red ed policy! other than the doesnt like those posh tories!
