Battery recommendations....

Hi, I need a new battery for my Morris. Just wondered what one i should go for? I don't want spend too much, but want something thats gonna do the job!

any 038 will be fine .

COSTCO are best for batteries. No need for a bigger battery - DO make sure the terminals are right way round to keep them at the back of the battery tray - away from clamping bar. Get the largest battery Costco have for the lowest price - if you see what i mean.

For very little more money this one has higher capacity and cranking power - and the terminals are right way round!

Although it doesn't say it fits a Morris, will this one fit ok without having to change anything? Sorry for my lack of knowledge!

Yes - and the terminals will be at the back away from the clamp - IF you are -ve earth ????

Sorry, what's -ve earth? I guess its negative earth. As i look at the car, - is on the left and + on the right.

Oh - well - unless you fancy making the switch, better stick with the 038 battery.

It's an OK price - just make sure the terminals can't short against the holding bar.

they defiantly cant short against the battery bar, partly because its been wrapped in black rubber tubing(not sure why though). least i know that i have done something right.

It's much safer if the terminals are at the rear - well away from the bar. Wrapped in tubing doesn't sound too safe.....
