HELLO,
Today I was offered a Ford MK2 rear axle and front brakes etc. :D I have heard that the Ford axle fits the Morris, what is involved. :-?
Also what would be involved in fitting the Ford front brakes etc. :-?
Or to complicate matters I have also located a Wolseley 1500 being dismantled, and have the chance of the diff etc and front brakes. :D
Which way would you go.? :-?
I am still looking at an engine upgrade at the same time.

I would go (and indeed have gone) the W 1500 route. It's FAR FAR easier - and it WORKS.

Go for the ford axle. To fit it will require some welding of mounts, but a fitting kit can be bought from JLH minor for about £60 i believe. It is defo the axle of choice if you are going for more power, and has a favourable stud pattern, so will have a far greater choice of wheels at a much cheaper price. It is slightly wider than the minor axle also, but should still fit under the minor arches. The ford front breaks from what i have seen from working on my mates mk2 are significantly different, but there are many ford based disc kits available, so either you can machine them to fit, or they may well provide spares for one of the kits.
