Look what I found....

Hi.
I got my Morris out of the garage today (1st time this year) as I am getting ready for the weekend. I noticed that after washing, waxing & cleaning inside & out last Autumn. I noticed that the rain had gone through my garage roof. I decided to get up early and give it another quick wash down but couldn't find my car shampoo. When I opened up the boot lid and rummaged around to look for it i found some kitchen roll that I use for wiping my hands or spills. then I found this........[frame]

The little critter must have been using my Morris as an over Wintering place while feasting on my supply of tea bags, coffee and packets of sugar.... I had the car turned upside down looking for him but couldn't see him anywhere.... I thought about him chewing my cables ect.. But my wife saw a funnier side of it as she now expects to see him sitting on the back seat munching through our picnics every time were out in it......

I think I would be more worried about HOW he got in. You better start looking for rust holes!

Don't wait until they decide to use the seats and carpets to shred for their nests! Time for traps and repellers. Wiring looms are another favourite "food". As for getting in the car, virtually impossible to prevent!

I had to change to a different MOT station for a couple of reasons - my nearest garage got a bit fed up of mice falling into his inspection pit when he MOT'd my cars

I wondered if that was why their equipment seemed very over sensitive for 'brake balance' as he failed every car that had been off the road for a while (although one of the mice bit him when he picked it up....)
I had a garage clear out and found a huge pile of shredded newspaper behind a cupboard. I wondered what they'd been eating but I later found the reamins of a chewing gum pack in the sill on my pickup - they had taken the gum out of the dash

I bet the airwaves freshness didn't make them popular with their friends!

Blimey! How could you stand there coolly and take a picture of that thing? I'd have been off out of the garage like a scalded cat!

Ray - your mice story is priceless! Poor MOT chap, never heard of the little furry chaps causing a request not to frequent a garage!
Sorry Santa, I know what a mess they cause. Hope it (hopefully only one?!) didn't chew into anything valuable?
leyther how did you manage to get a photo of mouse, they are so quick did you know he was likely to be there? Looks cute but not their fault they are deadly!
p.s. Don't bother putting our cat in there, we could all smell poor mouse when they came in but cat was not interested!! What a let down for the good name of the mouse catching fraternity!!

The tearing looks a bit big for a mouse maybe a rat or squirell

That's not a mouse, it's a huge rat!

Shhh!! Don't talk about rats - people seem to be able to cope with the little mouse but not his big brothers! (I suspect you're quite right though Ondergard about which little chap it is!) I am not against either so long as I don't have them in my habitat, used to see plenty scuttling around at my local Tesco car park very late at night (although they now seem to have permanent rat poison bins around the place).
Go on cheer poor Santa up by telling him his rodent is likely to be a bigger invader!
At least we don't normally have to worry about waking up deadly snakes/insect nests etc - I expect some of our more exotic location folks have?!

What you need is a bit of MM roof art such as can be found in viewtopic.php?f=7&t=37521 - A certain cure for all rodents large or small![frame]

Rats, Mice. They are all the same to me. The picture shown was taken AFTER I had brushed the mess up into one pile except a small nest pile. I am in favour of leaving little treats of peanut butter on traps. After having problems with my local vicar. I now take great delight in calling ALL vermin Michel. Then disposal of their bodies....

Our local vicar has a cat called "cooking fat" I asked him how it was named, he said he came home drunk one night and tripped over the cat he was reported to say that he'd "kill that cookin fat"
SORRY i'll get my coat!
