Two points;- A newbie? I have owned my Morris since 1981! How do I advance my standing in the Morris community?
How do I change my user name ? I never know if its me!

Welcome!
Around here the more posts you make the higher your "ranking" will be.
After a little while you will reach fan status.
After a long time you could even reach garrulous person with too much time on their hands status

personally i think Roy should be elevated to "minor god" or "minor oracle" something along those lines would be appropriate

I don't know who devised them, or when, but perhaps it was in the days before Roy joined the board
