'Plastic Orange' is the username of the guy that owns it. He lives up in scotland i believe. 'MUJ' as it's known is sporting a V8 of some sorts, and is very well looked after!

Re: my old moggy
i am a very sad young man
when my dad says something like 'do you know Mr Smith' or what-have you... i have to say 'what car have they got?' and then 'what's their reg?'
i only knew about this particular one as Plastic Orange always calls it MUJ, i have to admit i had to look for a picture to confirm that the numbers where right!

Re: my old moggy
Hi,
Sorry, MUJ is most definately not for sale
(don't know how I missed this thread). I bought it from a guy in Leeds in 2004 and it was in a sorry state with a blown gearbox.
I'd love to hear some build stories and see some early pics. I do have all the receipts for the mods at Autofantasia - around 1994.
You must be pleased to see it is still on the go - it is remarkably rust free, and is a testimony to the builders.

Re: my old moggy
HI
Just to give you a bit of history that I can remember as moved house twice since then and have lost all paperwork.
Original saw it in the custom car magazine in early 90's and went and viewed her. It was an old couple that had owned her 18 years. This is what the old boy told me it began when he took it to his friends local garage, i am guessing in the 80's where she wanted a couple of wings fitting but she came out with a V 8 in it . May have been earlier than this.
When I went to view her, he pulled her out of a council garage and she was a light blue in colour with little stickers of flowers on her . The previous owner had a big profile of photos and profile of her which I have sadly mislaid through moving house twice .
Got her home and had a good look around her and little bit of welding needed on the off side floor area, linished back and treated. V8 all seemed good and all transmission good. S type jag axle on the rear. Wide steel rims, exhaust I moved form the side exit to the back. Had her re trimmed in blue dralon/cord. Wooden rimmed steering wheel , rev counter mounted on dash, painted her in vauxhall mettalic greeny blue which was a new colour at the time. This is about it really.
Sold due to financial reasons and regret ever since.
As a bonus if this helps I have photos of the car and at the stoneleigh show Warwickshire. in 1997 when it was pride of place at the show.
Thanks Steve
