well i went mad this morning ,i changed the engine oil and filter ,changed the diff oil ,changed the gearbox oil,set the tappetts,changed the coolant,changed gearbox oil,changed the spark plugs,checked the timing its electronic ignition so no probs there,checked wheel barings adjusted the brakes and greased up every nipple a good mornings work,and saved a small fortune .

changed air filter too ,who designed that breather straight to air filter silly .

That's why you should try to get the later carb with the side intake for the breather pipe. Although actually - years ago, I modified the flat plate that the filter fits onto, by making a hole in the front of it just above the carb - there is just enough room - and put the breather pipe in there. The fumes (and oil etc) then go straight into the carb intake without splattering all over the outside of the air filter..........

im not sure i suppose a garage would charge £150 or so i tend to collect service items so they are on hand,but i would think service parts and oil and filters you could do it for £25 .
