Ever noticed how the cheap trolley jacks don't have the rubber bit in the cup? Anyone know where to get one? I use a piece of wood but getting tired of balancing it and moving the Jack.

cut up an old tyre? Then glue the rubber in place.

That's my plan, although it's been on the bottom of the jobs list for 2 years since I was given a fairly good high lift trolley jack..

lol yea, i will be looking for something to put in there, but be aware that these rubber thingies (don't know if they have an official name), do exist, machine mart catalogue shows them on the more pricey jacks!

You can get them on FleaBay (search: jack pad) or here http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Siteseeker/ ... q=jack+pad but a bit steep at £5+ in my view. An old solid rubber bicycle pedal from the nearest skip cut to size should do the job.
