Advice on Woodwork

Post by robinofsherwood »

I have a black area of wood that is soft and I can easily push a screwdriver into it. It seems the roof gutter is leaking at the joint. Is there anyway I can stabilise the wood with a resin or do I have to cut out the offending piece and replace with new wood ? Grateful for any advice.[frame]Image[/frame]

You can try with one of the 'hardeners' - but really - it needs new timber.
