Conservatory roof...

Our conservatory has polycarbonate roof panels - a couple of these have slipped slightly in the recent high winds and the rubber top seals have fallen out. Do any of you have experience of how to remove the panels - clean it all up - and then refit ? I could just bang the panels back up - but that won't get the seals in. I really want to remove them and then refit -a guide to how they are held in would be very useful !

get a man in to do it - in my experience its quicker and easier and he'll do a better job because he does it every day

Hi
I assume the roof frame is UPVC, if so, there is an end cover at the lower end of the glazing bar, remove this, look up the glazing bar section, you will see there is a tee shaped cover over the glazing bar.
This is held very firmly in place with male and female legs.they are part of the profile.
To remove the top cover, insert some sort of lever, in the box section, to prise them apart, taking care not to damage them, they some times need quite a bit of force to start.
Once the legs start to pull out, it should peel up to remove it completely. Its similar to the cover on plastic trunking
Repeat on the next glazing bar, refit the roof sheet, and hammer the top section back in, starting at the top.
It will require robust blows with a nylon head hammer, to replace them.

Regards Win
