Squiggle are those the official dates as nothing is shown on the events calendar or the what's on section or even where it is apart from your link.

Good question Kevin.

I wondered why it's not on the Events section.

I understand we are linking up with the Potteries rally.

Anyone out there that can verify this please?

Stitched/skimmed/washed engine block is now back in my kitchen........ :D

Hi Squiggle!

Yes, I can verify this for you.

We are holding both events together and are having MMOC Concours at the event too!

Details of the event can be found here: http://potteries.mmoc.org.uk/PotteriesRally_2011.htm

Entry form can be downloaded from here: http://www.potteries.mmoc.org.uk/rallyentry2011.doc
or http://www.potteries.mmoc.org.uk/rallyentry2011.pdf
or http://www.potteries.mmoc.org.uk/rallyentry2011.jpg

We already have 17 cars booked in (not 17 MMs though!), so it looks like it's going to be quite a large event for us as we are usually lucky to have a couple of cars booked in this early in the year!

If you are camping, we would like to come down and meet up with you at the campsite if possible, so I will keep an eye on this thread for further info. :D :D

engine is in the car.. cutting it a bit fine now though! :-? Dizzy and carb still to do but not expecting problems. Waterworks may be more hassle depending on the water jacket housing (bolt on part) not yet repaired and hopefully it'll go on ok.

Well done to Ray/Squiggle/Mike for performing miracles as usual!

Quick update on the rally:

We have six MMs now booked in and 62 cars booked in in total!

Amazingly, this is near double the figure we usually get at this point in the year, so it looks like being a really good event. :D

We usually get more turning up on the day which more than makes up for the odd one or two who are booked in and don't turn up, so I'm expecting 70+ cars currently.

If anyone else feels like joining us, you would be most welcome.

Booking in is preferable, but you can always turn up on the day.

Thanks. :D :D

We're hoping to turn up on the day in the 54. pre-booking is something I rarely achieve
At this rate we'll need to get there early or there'll be no room left ;-)

Should read.....Ray/Mike/Squiggle or Mike/Ray/Squiggle :-)

I've been telling folk that those two guys have been helping me rebuild my engine........but in all honesty I haven't done much but learnt alot. Poor Ray, I must have driven him mad with childlike awe and so many questions. He has the patience of a saint!

And I'm suprised Mike hasn't changed his number to avoid my numerous calls :-)

There is some photographic evidence of me fitting collets tho'.

I am incredibly grateful to them for all their help. And they don't live locally either! If it wasn't for their help, I would have had to sell the car in bits. Humbling really.

Is Ray fixing the drivers side bonnet hinge for you too? The surprise on everyones faces when the bonnet lunged forwards at the seminar while having a gander under the bonnet was funny.
