Does anyone have plans/diemnsions for making suitable bases to enable one to fit non-minor seats?

There are pictures of various seat base adaptors on the forum - what type seats are you fitting?

I dont know yet, though I do like the rover 25 body hugging 1/2 leathers.

Different seats require different bases, as they all have holes/brackets to suit original applications.

I have the same question, but for specific seats.
I purchased a pair from a 1997 Rover 100, and they're to go into a 1968 2 door Minor 1000
This is for my daughter to learn to drive in, as the law states that for the driving test the car must have integral headrests.
JL Minors do a sub-frame specifically for the Metro seats and tell me that the Rover 100 is a different fitting.
To add to the complication, there's some talk of "early" and "late" Rover 100 seats being different sizes!

So, does anyone know of a sub-frame conversion for these seats?
I appreciate there may be a couple of new holes to drill, or some welding.
Also, my daughter's not very tall - we already use the lifting blocks under the original seats!

I used standard Newton Commercial seat bases then bolted 1in square alloy tube to the base and bolted the seat to the tube
Is it possible that Rover seats of that period were a standard fitting?

I've fitted two Rover 111 front seats to my 1970 Traveller-increased comfort no end.

I found them by chance on a ten year old Rover 111 in a breakers yard here near where I live in France - a perfectly good car that had been traded in for 5000€ (we had same trade in system here). The poor car hadn't done 100000km and had to be broken up-made me sad !!

I then got a pair of seat plinths from Charles Ware's in Bristol-solid and easy to fit but just not quite wide enough for Rover 111 seats. Solved that problem by widening the plinths with a plate.

As my scanner is not operating well I'm not able to attach the drawings that CW's sent me - PM me your address and I'll send you a photocopy.

All Rover 100 seats are the same. They are different from Rover Metro, which are in turn different to Austin/MG metro - which all the bases on the market seem to be made for.

Also, just to add (as an owner of a 100) the 100 seats are relativly comfy but probabally not the best for longer journeys (I do 70 mile each way trips and my back begins to ache with about 10 to go)
