mine makes a noise sometimes too, especially in colder weather! but in mine is cured by the old trick of 'turning it off and on again'. i don't know what causes it though, sorry!

What sort of noise? Bearing screech, something catching, knocking, rattling? Whatever it is, it will probably mean removing and stripping the heater assembly to get to the motor. Is it a standard or uprate heater - the uprated mini based ones have extra air intake on the left, and the flaps can sometime "flap"!

l think it may be the brushes because it sounds like the motor is labouring.Only when it first starts up,l have tried switching it off and on it still does the same.
Could it be a bearing,if so what is the best metheod repair/renew??
It is a standard heater.

Sorry - never stripped one down - they are usually extremely reliable. Remove and investigate!

Spray a little lubricant around the motor and fan bearings. My fug stirrer "heater" screaches for a couple of seconds when it is cold
