Lucas part numbers

Does anyone know a source for a list of part numbers. I am looking at column switches on ebay and one of tyhem is described as for a 62 minor. The seller says it will not fit my 72 minor which surprises me. There is also another described as for mini/minor. All examples advertised have different part numbers.

Sorry , but which switch are you referring to? By column do you mean the later type column ignition switch. These were only available from about 1971 on the very last minors. A 1962 has the ignition in the centre under the speedo. The other switches were also changed from the Bakerlite "pull" variety to the later "flick" ones. If you could take a photo of what you want i am sure we can help

Lucas 31883 is the base number for the Minor indicator switch which is then suceeded by a letter (the later the letter the newer the part). The Mk1 Mini switch is the same switch but may have a different colour lens (Normally green on Minor and orange on Mini). From 62 on all switches were the same for a Minor.....
